Prof. Dr. Götz T. Wiese is a German lawyer, tax adviser, entrepreneur, academic, and public servant based in the City of Hamburg. He is founding partner of WIESE LUKAS, advising family businesses, companies, and investors on corporate transactions and cross-border matters. Previously, he led the German tax practice of Latham & Watkins and was a member of Latham’s global management. – He is an alum of Yale School of Management. Götz Wiese is an Honorary Professor at Bucerius Law School and has helped shape leading platforms for dialogue between business, academia, and public policy. From 2020 to 2025, he served in the Hamburg State Parliament, with a focus on economic policy, innovation, labor, and media. Through his professional, academic, and civic work, Götz has consistently advocated for renewal through innovation, competitiveness, institutional responsibility, and openness to the world. Across law, business, academia, and public life, Götz Wiese is committed to strengthening the resilience of institutions, enterprises, and cities in a time of profound economic, technological, and geopolitical change.
